Late yesterday, the California legislature passed a bill that prohibits minors from receiving change therapy counseling regarding same-sex attractions. The bill, now headed to Gov. Jerry Brown’s desk, bans any counseling or therapy that seeks to reduce or eliminate same-sex attraction or guide children away from gender confusion.
If the bill is signed into law, Liberty Counsel will sue on behalf of counselors, parents, and minors who provide, refer, or who receive and have found change therapy to be beneficial.
The bill defines “sexual orientation change efforts” as any practice that is designed to reduce or eliminate same-sex attraction. Such broad language will prohibit any counseling that does not affirm and encourage experimentation with or acceptance of same-sex attractions, regardless of whether those feelings and attractions are unwanted by the counselee.
The implications of the government determining what counseling treatments are acceptable should concern every counselor and citizen. That decision should be left to the patient, the parents, and the doctors. The government has no place in that conversation.
By the way governor Brown, you can thank us here at TWAU BLOG for informing Liberty Counsel of your legislation. As I have stated before, with proper parenting people wouldn't have to worry about these types of issues. Proper parenting being raising kids by Biblical standards, teaching them Biblical morals. etc.

Clint Eastwood speaks at the 2012 RNC
Hollywood legend, actor Clint Eastwood speaks out against the failed policies of Obama. With a bit of humor and a whole lot of facts Clint put Obama in his place. (Obama in chair beside him).lol

Mike Huckabee speaks at the 2012 RNC
One of the champions of conservatism Mike Huckabee speaking at the 2012 RNC. As always, the Huckster knocked it out of the park with some great points. I agree whole heartedly, let's vote Obama out of office and send him and his failed policies packing.
Trust me on this one thing: Obama is not a Christian. At least not by the true God's definition.
I hope and pray that we all come together in November and vote these losers (Obama/Biden) out of our white house!
Lou's review on 2016: Obama's America
I just saw the film today and I must say it was really well done. It was by no means a Michael Moore smear movie. It was a very well put together bunch of facts. And they were placed together in good chronological order.
Make no mistake about it friends, Obama thinks America is evil and wants it knocked down a few notches. He wants it knocked down to the level of other poor third world countries. And if he gets another 4 years, he may accomplish that dream.
Let's make sure that doesn't happen by voting for Mitt Romney this November. Let's support the come back team and put America back on track. Romney/Ryan 2012

2016: Obama's America
2016: Obama's America is a great documentary full of facts that will help American's decide who to vote for in November. It's a must see film. Make sure you see it, and take everyone you know to go see it as well.
This election is for all the marbles. Either freedom will prevail or socialism will. It's up to the voters.
Ann Romney The new first lady of the United States
Ann Romney gave a speech at the RNC and won over Americans by the millions. She is a sweet lady. I can't wait for her to be the new first lady.
I was so moved by the great speeches given at the RNC it brought tears to my eyes. Obama needs to go! Seriously people, he does!
Let's all get to the polls this November, or use your vote by mail option and vote for Romney! Get your friends and family to do the same! America is counting on you. God bless you and God bless America!

Ex-Navy SEAL defends group's Obama attacks, condemns Obama's bin Laden ad
OPSEC, a group of former military and intelligence operatives and creators of a long-form political ad that blames President Obama for a series of national security leaks, is firing back against criticisms from the nation's highest ranking military officer.
Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey on Tuesday told Fox News he was "disappointed" by the political use of the military uniform.
"If someone uses the uniform, whatever uniform, for partisan politics, I am disappointed because I think it does erode that bond of trust we have with the American people,” Dempsey said in an interview with Fox News while flying back from a trip to Afghanistan and Iraq.
But Scott Taylor, a former Navy SEAL and the president of OPSEC, argues that Dempsey's criticisms can be applied equally to the Obama campaign's "One Chance" ad, which features images of Black Hawk helicopters in flight and military pilots. The video, which is still available online, suggests Gov. Mitt Romney would not have made the same decision to call for the raid that killed Usama bin Laden.
“The Obama campaign continues to promote a highly partisan attack ad that used military footage and photographs from the White House Situation Room to support sharp criticism of the president’s political opponent,” Taylor said. “The use of those in uniform and the work they do for partisan political purposes is not only unhelpful, as General Dempsey said, but is dishonorable, and the campaign should immediately remove the ad for good.”
Taylor also claimed that unlike the Obama campaign's ad, all of the men featured in the OPSEC video were former military and therefore have the right to speak freely.
"Speaking openly about protecting those in uniform is far more helpful than speaking about classified intelligence or Special Operations missions, tactics and capabilities, which bipartisan leaders have said has reached alarming levels under this administration,” Taylor said.
Dempsey had said that as the steward of his profession -- the military -- he thinks it imperative that the military remain “apolitical.”
OPSEC unveiled its 22-minute video on its website last week and pledged to go on air with a TV ad sometime in September.
In the video, an array of retired CIA agents and other intelligence personnel suggest the administration has been leaking security details for political gain, and specifically criticize the president over his public handling of the bin Laden raid.
"Mr. President, you did not kill Usama bin Laden. America did," Navy SEAL Ben Smith said in the video. "The work that the American military has done killed Usama bin Laden. You did not."
The Web video showed clips of Obama's press conference in early May on the Pakistan raid, highlighting his comments about directing the mission. The video left out the rest of the remarks in which Obama thanked the "countless intelligence and counterterrorism professionals" involved.
The Obama campaign, though, dismissed the video as akin to the 2004 "Swift Boat" ads.
"The Republicans are resorting to Swift Boat tactics because when it comes to foreign policy and national security, Mitt Romney has offered nothing but reckless rhetoric," Obama spokesman Ben LaBolt said.
The group seems to be most focused on the controversy over security leaks. Those leaks are currently under investigation by Justice Department attorneys.
The narrator in the video says former military and intelligence operatives who understand the importance of operational security "have had enough."
"Their mission -- stop the politicians from politically capitalizing on U.S. national security operations and secrets," the narrator says, as a picture of Obama flashes on screen.
Obama has condemned the leaks. He said in June that the issue is "a source of consistent frustration" for his and prior administrations.
Meanwhile, publishing giant Penguin Group has confirmed it has plans to release a book that provides a detailed, first-person account of the raid that killed Usama bin Laden. According to the publisher, the book, "No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission That Killed Osama Bin Laden," is written under a pseudonym by a Navy SEAL who participated in the mission. It's co-authored with Kevin Maurer and is set to be released on Sept. 11.
A spokesman at Dutton, a group owned by Penguin, says proceeds from the book will be donated to charitable causes that benefit the families of fallen Navy SEALs.

Obama is a poor excuse for a president and he knows it. So, he must pull out all the stops and claim credit that isn't his to try to make himself seem like he's doing something. He is not.
I have always said: Obama is a national security risk. With this and trying to so called lean out our military. AKA weaken it.
U.S. Senate candidate Todd Akin explains "legitimate rape" comments on Huckabee show
The media is trying to hang Akin out to dry over his comment. The guy just misspoke. Not that big a deal. People need to get over it. Making a big deal out of nothing is just stupid.
Radio talk show host Tom Sullivan is trying to say Akin won't step down because of a huge ego. That is absolutely incorrect. But I'm glad Akin is not stepping aside. He still has our support, and the support of the GOP population in America.
We stand by Mike Huckabee and Rush Limbaugh in support of Todd Akin. The idea of ruining a career over a mistaken comment is something of the past.

Outcry after military veteran detained for anti-government Facebook posts
Click the title headline for the full article
A former Marine involuntarily detained for psychiatric evaluation for posting strident anti-government messages on Facebook has received an outpouring of support from people who say authorities are trampling on his First Amendment rights.
Brandon J. Raub, 26, has been in custody since FBI, Secret Service agents and police in Virginia's Chesterfield County questioned him Thursday evening about what they said were ominous posts talking about a coming revolution. In one message earlier this month according to authorities, Raub wrote: "Sharpen my axe; I'm here to sever heads."
Police -- acting under a state law that allows emergency, temporary psychiatric commitments upon the recommendation of a mental health professional -- took Raub to the John Randolph Medical Center in Hopewell. He was not charged with any crime.
A Virginia-based civil liberties group, The Rutherford Institute, dispatched one of its attorneys to the hospital to represent Raub at a hearing Monday. A judge ordered Raub detained for another month, Rutherford executive director John Whitehead said.
"For government officials to not only arrest Brandon Raub for doing nothing more than exercising his First Amendment rights but to actually force him to undergo psychological evaluations and detain him against his will goes against every constitutional principle this country was founded upon," Whitehead said.
Raub's mother, Cathleen Thomas, said by telephone that the government had overstepped its bounds.
"The bottom line is his freedom of speech has been violated," she said.

The military veteran might want to learn more about his privacy settings on FaceBook as well. I mean, how did they see his posts unless he was posting them to where the public could see them?
Never the less, his free speech rights have been trampled on.

California law barring parents from 'curing' gay children moves through legislature
Click the title headline for the full article
A first-of-its-kind state law that would restrict parents from trying to "cure" their minor children's same-sex attractions seems headed to the governor's desk.
If both state houses can agree on the final language, the legislation, which would ban all sexual orientation change effort (SOCE) treatment for minors, will be sent to Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown for his signature sometime in September. But, so far, there has been no indication from his office on whether he will sign the bill into law.
Whatever the governor does, he's sure to face criticism. Backers see it as a civil rights issue, while critics say lawmakers are infringing on not only parents' rights but also on the mission of mental health professionals.
"[The law] unconstitutionally prohibits speech…violates privacy and personal autonomy rights, intermeddles in theological disputes, clashes with other laws and creates significant unintended consequences," Matt McReynolds,, a staff attorney with Sacramento-based Pacific Justice Institute, said.
"As long as this bill threatens to shame patients and silence counselors, therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists, we will vigorously oppose it," McReynolds told Fox News. "We cannot afford to let the state invade the counseling room or doctor's office to dictate what views on sexuality are acceptable and unacceptable."

It all starts with the parents and how they raise their children. I will never have to depend on how a governor will sway on a bill that effects my kid(s), because I've acted on my own to ensure my kids are trained up right. Right, being by the Bibles standards.
I hope other parents will follow suit.

Gun banning laws
The idea of banning guns, ammunition, or magazines sounds not only unconstitutional to me but ridiculous. I have said it time and again gun laws only unarm the good citizens. Criminals pay no attention to laws because they are CRIMINALS.
But even though liberals know this fact, they continue to push the anti-gun agenda. So it's clear to me that they don't want to disarm America because of crazies who run around shooting up places. They want to simply disarm America just because.
If the government ever did want to enslave or take over society, an unarmed population sure would help them out, no?
Now, I'm not saying that is their intent currently. But liberals sure are pushing it in that direction.
Let's take the tragedy that happened in Aurora Colorado. Let's say that gun laws banning guns were in full effect when that happened. And no one could carry a gun or own one. That incident still would have happened. Because I guarantee you that nut job would have got his equipment somewhere legal or not.

OBAMA CAMP USES 4-LETTER WORD TO RIP RYAN
Click on the title headline for the full article
A brand-new email plea from the campaign to re-elect Barack Obama has taken a dark turn in its criticism of Congressman Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney’s vice-presidential pick, using what many might consider foul language.
“You might be wondering why the hell Romney picked this guy,” writes Jim Messina, campaign manager of Obama for America. “But this is a strategic pick that carries real danger for us.”
The email begins, “Congressman Paul Ryan is the poster boy for the extreme Republican leadership in a Congress whose overall approval rating is 12 percent. His plan to dismantle Medicare is deeply unpopular with the general public, and especially undecided voters.”
That’s when the H-word gets invoked.
The rest of the letter reads:
“Here’s the calculation: Mitt Romney doesn’t need or expect Paul Ryan to convince even one undecided voter to cast their ballot for him. That’s not what he’s on the ticket for. He’s there to reassure and inspire ultraconservative ideologues and corporate interests that they will have one of their own a heartbeat from the presidency.
“That means tens or even hundreds of millions more dollars for the Romney campaign and the array of outside groups supporting him — and if current trends hold, more than 90 percent of that money will be spent on TV ads — lying, distorting and trashing Barack Obama. Those ads will have more impact on undecided voters than anything Paul Ryan himself does or says.
“Mitt Romney is convinced that picking Paul Ryan is a great investment for him. And his campaign is already touting the pledges and donations they’ve received as a result, with fundraising events planned for this week.
“We’re already being outraised, and we can’t afford to fall further behind. Our records show that you’re still waiting to make your first online donation — now is the time.
“Please donate $5 or more today.
“More soon.

What do you see in the above picture?
By just looking at the picture you would probably think this family is a nice good looking family. And that is probably a true assumption, but here is where the deception is: Where type of morals does this family hold? Well if his wife and kids follow his example and his idea's, sadly their morals are pretty wicked and sinful.
Obama advocates some pretty awful things, homosexuality for one. And abortions. Murder and sexual sin are nothing to play around with. So when Americans see images like this of The Obama's I hope you see the real picture.
Not to mention the horrible job he's done in office over the last 4 years. It's disheartening to see that some people will vote for this guy based on the amount of government freebies he's willing to hand out and the wicked things he's willing to support.
I firmly believe B. H. Obama will be kicked from the white house this year by some great Americans who have the courage to hit the polls hard with friends and family.
Join us this year in voting Obama out! And essentially telling him "YOU'R FIRED"!

College grads score YouTube hit with 'Obama That I Used to Know' parody
Click on the title headline for the full article
College grads playing the role of lovers scorned by President Obama have scored a smash YouTube hit with a parody of Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know."
The video, which was tracking toward 400,000 hits Friday morning, faithfully covers the original, only under the title, "Obama That I Used to Know."
The clever parody intersperses some of the president's more soaring lines from the 2008 campaign with laments about the current state of the economy for America's 20-somethings.
"Now and then I think of that Election Day November," the song begins. "When you won, I felt so happy I could die."
Hum along if you know the tune, but it continues:
"You can get addicted to a certain kind of message -- like this is change we can believe in, yes we can.
"But college ended had to pay my rent. At least you're the first gay president. But the change I got is that I moved in with my mother."
And the chorus: "Because you won and then you cut me off. Now your speeches never soar as high as unemployment. You took ObamaCare so far, but you left me like a dog strapped on Romney's car."
Co-creators Justin Monticello and Ryan Newbrough told Fox News they supported the president in 2008, but were reflecting the disillusionment some in their generation are experiencing.
"As the makers of a parody video on YouTube, it's a little tough to speak to everybody, but I think ... it wasn't unnatural to be kind of attracted to the message that he had," Monticello said.
"And I just think that there are some things he hadn't delivered on that he promised to do, and that's why some people are feeling disillusioned."

And as for the lyrics (At least Obama is the first gay president), Um, Obama isn't gay. And he only stated he supported gays because he's trying to pander to the community of homosexuals for their votes.
Obama is going to lose in November for so many reasons. but trust me, he's the exact same guy now that he was when he was running for president. Inexperienced, cocky, and dumb as a rock.

Liberty Counsel Successfully Defends Pastor’s First Amendment Rights
August 2, 2012
Miami-Dade County School Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho has backed down from his threat to revoke the lease from Impact Miami Church and Pastor Jack Hakimian. The Superintendent threatened to review the lease following a sermon by Pastor Hakimian, in which he spoke about the intolerance of those who espouse the homosexual agenda. Liberty Counsel sent a letter on Pastor Hakimian’s behalf stating that any adverse action against the pastor for his speech would violate the First Amendment. In a memo to the school board, Superintendent Carvalho said there will be no action to terminate the church’s lease.
In recent days we have seen stepped-up attacks against free speech. It is outrageous that a public school superintendent could think he has the right to threaten revocation of a lease because of what the pastor preaches in the pulpit. No public official is above the law. The First Amendment stands as a bulwark against homo-fascism.
Please offer a prayer of thanksgiving for this victory, and continue to pray for Liberty Counsel as we “stand in the gap” defending religious freedom, the sanctity of life, and the family.

It is election season, after all, so sharing one's political views -- however outlandish they may be -- is to be expected. But how about from a 6-year-old? Isaac Anthony counts down the 10 reasons why he thinks you should not vote for Barack Obama in a YouTube video posted by the conservative website Patriot Update. His list of reasons includes the fact that, in his opinion, Obama is "taking money from people who work hard" and "keeping people on welfare and food stamps." After Anthony delivers reason No. 4, "He wants to take guns away from good guys," he shoots his mock pistol at the camera.
Since Sunday more than 160,000 people have viewed the video, and as you might expect, it's been met with more than a little controversy. Some commenters on YouTube are calling the clip "sad" and "ignorant." Over on Twitter, most people are blaming the boy's parents, saying that it's an example of indoctrination. On the other side of the fence, viewers are commending Anthony, with one YouTube commenter writing, "He's smarter than half of Americans."
Smart kid! No other way to put it.
Lou Buren: This is awesome, the kid is right on with all his comments. For all you Obama supporters, don't trip! Obama is out of there come November anyway!

Standing up for free speech
Today over 500,000 people showed their support for free speech. By peacefully going to the Chic-fil-a restaurant and purchasing a meal. This was all sparked when some nasty liberals spewed venomous words toward the restaurant because it's CEO publicly stated that he supported traditional marriage in opposed to the perverse act of homosexuality and gay marriage.
Well known conservative governor Mike Huckabee and founder of AnswersInGenesis Ken Ham have commended the CEO for his good moral standing and have asked the public to peacefully come out on 8-1-12 and buy a meal to show support for freedom of speech.
The record amount of people that came out is astounding. I hope those nasty wicked liberals are taking notice because this means the record setting attendance will carry on to November when huge turn-outs will attend the polls to kick Obama's evil ass out of office!
The American people are tired of sick perverse liberals and atheists trying to change our nation into anything but Gods country. We won't stand for it. Take a look below at some photos of the Chick-fil-a turn out... click on pictures for larger view...
All these photo's are from all around the country. Courtesy of Mike Huckabee's Facebook page.
Just goes to show how many good up-standing American citizens out there still support freedom of speech and Biblical principles. If you want to see more photo's you can find them on Mike Huckabee's Facebook page.

Lou Buren of TWAU BLOG: I was watching the news on TV and was happy to see that so far 500,000 plus people have attended the appreciation day for Chic-Fil-A. It's nice to see Americans stand up against the sin of homosexuality, and a stand in support of free speech.
China announces plans for moon landing in 2013

China has announced plans to send an unmanned rocket to the moon in 2013, an effort to further the country’s ambitious space program -- but Beijing faces serious competition to plant the next flag on the moon.
The official China News Service said that the Chang'e Three orbiter will carry out surveys on the surface of the moon, according to a report on Reuters -- catching up to a U.S. achievement from 45 years ago.
The communist country tested a new rocket engine Sunday that uses liquid oxygen and kerosene, which will power future missions to the moon, according to news reports.
If successful, China’s probe would be the first craft to land on the moon as part of a mission since the Soviets managed it in the 1970s. The country also said it plans to land a man on the moon, a feat only achieved by the United States, most recently in 1972, the AFP noted.
"I think it's well within China's capability and budget," Chen Lan, an independent space analyst, told the AFP of next year's planned mission.
Neither the Russians nor the U.S. is currently capable of landing a man on the moon. Since the end of the space shuttle era, NASA’s has focused its eyes on a new spacecraft for manned exploration of space, the Orion multipurpose vehicle, which won’t be ready until 2017 at the earliest.
But China will nonetheless face stiff competition from a growing private space industry in the U.S. and elsewhere. The industry has its eyes on the moon and the cash that can be extracted from rocks and craters.
Astrobotic Technology announced plans in May for an ice prospecting robot, Polaris, to be launched to the Moon on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket like the one that successfully lifted this spring from Cape Canaveral. That vehicle is set to launch in 2015, the company said.
Moon Express has announced plans to piggyback on private space cargo flights, using them to carry its lunar landers and mining platforms to the moon.
"People ask, why do we want to go back to the moon? Isn't it just barren soil?" Jain told FoxNews.com last year. "But the moon has never been explored from an entrepreneurial perspective."
And a host of other companies from a variety of countries are competing for a $30 million prize from Google to reach the moon’s surface, a competition called the Lunar X Prize.
One country no longer in the battle: Russia, which has said manned missions are no longer a priority.
Indeed, the country recently sold four 1970s-era Soviet Almaz program three-crew capsules and two Russian Salyut-class 63,800-pound space station pressure vessels to spaceflight firm Excalibur Almaz, which plans to sell about 30 seats between 2015 and 2025, for $150 million each.
Green cheese indeed.
