Top court stays Texas death row inmate execution

WASHINGTON/AUSTIN, Texas (Reuters) - The Supreme Court gave a reprieve on Thursday to a Texas death row inmate in a case tinged by racial controversy, granting a stay more than 90 minutes after the scheduled time of execution.

The high court issued the stay for Duane Buck, 48, who had been scheduled to be put to death by lethal injection at 6 p.m. local time in Huntsville, Texas, for a pair of shotgun murders in 1995 in Houston.

Lawyers for Buck, who is black, appealed to the Supreme Court and said he had been unfairly sentenced because a psychologist testified that black men were more likely than other races to be repeat offenders after their release from prison.

Ok, a few things I want to touch on here. First off, it's true black inmates/parolees are much more likely to continue committing crime. That's not a racist comment. That's a fact.

Black people tend to have a very different outlook on life and on the World Around Us. They like to see themselves as victims, even when they are taking part in crime. They typically use excuses for their behaviour such as growing up in poverty. Some still complain that slavery effected them. And many blacks still claim every white man is racist.

Some more black facts.....
1. Most black men believe they are gods gift to women.
2. Most black men have an unrealistic dream of being a rap star.
3. Most black men dress like idiots, and wonder why they can't get a job.

The list goes on and on. And just for the record, I am not racist. Just stating facts, as I always do.

A team at Stanford University in California used computer learning software to sort through data generated by brain scans and detect when people were in pain.

"The question we were trying to answer was can we use neuroimaging to objectively detect whether a person is in a state of pain or not. The answer was yes," Dr. Sean Mackey of the Stanford University School of Medicine in California, whose study appears in the journal PLoS One.

Currently, doctors rely on patients to tell them whether or not they are in pain. And that is still the gold standard for assessing pain, Mackey said.

Facebook Page Calls for Action Against Israeli Embassy in Amman

A Facebook page created over the weekend calls for a march Thursday targeting Israel's embassy in Amman, Jordan, just days after a similar protest in Cairo, Egypt, resulted in a 13-hour rampage that trashed the Israeli diplomatic compound there.

"Our motto: No Zionist embassy on Jordanian territory," the Facebook page reads. Nearly 2,500 people have pledged to attend the protest in Jordan, with Israeli news reports suggesting protestors could break into the embassy and take down the Israeli flag.

It's always disturbing to hear of Israel going through tough times. And these so called protesters are actually terrorists if they are doing things like breaking into places and taking down flags. Please join us in praying for Israel, as they like America are GOD's country.

It's sad that America is under liberal rule at the moment, with the evil Obama administration at the helm. That means no aid for Israel. But we fully believe God will always defend Israel from harm.

Watching SpongeBob Can Lead to Learning Problems?

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Fast-paced, fantastical television shows such as "SpongeBob SquarePants" may harm children's ability to pay attention, solve problems and moderate behavior, according to a U.S. study published Monday.

Researchers from the University of Virginia found that the learning ability of 4-year-olds who watched nine minutes of "SpongeBob SquarePants" was severely compromised compared to 4-year-olds who either watched the slower-paced TV show "Caillou" or spent time drawing.

My kids watch SpongeBob all the time, and they are very well behaved and have no problems with their school work. I actually like the cartoon and laugh when watching it. I also get a good laugh at liberals and so called experts on issues.

Don't let articles like the one above scare you parents into not letting your kids watch cartoons. SpongeBob is a great cartoon for kids. I would steer kids away from cartoons like Simpsons and Family guy. Those are bad for kids, and for people in general.

9/11 remembered

The above video has been provided by NASA, it's a look at New York on 9/11 from outer space. We hope and pray that tomorrow there will be no terrorist attacks on our beloved nation. We hope you will join us in that prayer.

I still remember where I was on 9/11 when that attack took place. I was working in the office with some co workers, and they had the radio on. As soon as the news started coming out, we all gathered around the radio in shock. Shortly after it was all over, I thought it was just awesome how everyone came together and were flying old glory on their cars and trucks.

So proud and patriotic, it should be like that every day. Everyone was for pay back! Teach those dirty terrorists a lesson! They can't do that to the USA! Well, that lasted for about a whole 2 months. Then people started taking their flags down, liberals started worrying about the poor terrorists, wanted to start making sure the terrorists had rights and miranda rights read to them. etc..

G.W. Bush lead the assault on the attackers, and the nation was behind him, until the liberals started crying that he was being too mean to the terrorists, "oh no, don't use Interrogation methods on the poor murdering terrorists".

One thing I will say, is even though I thought very highly of Bush. I do think he kept soldiers in Iraq for way too long.

So tomorrow when the anniversary for 9/11 comes, I ask people to rehash their passion and zeal for our nation. Never forget!

Mississippi Supreme Court Rules that Citizens May Vote on the Personhood Amendment

The Mississippi Supreme Court has ruled in favor of Initiative Measure 26, otherwise known as the Personhood Amendment, and will allow this historic issue to appear on the ballot on November 8. The Court denied a challenge to the constitutionality of the Amendment brought by the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, and the Center for Reproductive Rights. Steve Crampton, General Counsel of Liberty Counsel, presented argument at the Mississippi Supreme Court on behalf of the Personhood Amendment.

If passed, the law would amend the Mississippi Constitution to include an unborn child in Mississippi as a “person” and thus protected under the Constitution. Liberty Counsel represents Personhood Mississippi and expects that this Amendment could ultimately go to the United States Supreme Court and overturn Roe v. Wade, making abortion illegal nationwide.
